On a Tuesday night, around 9.20pm, the police got a call about a car hitting a pedestrian on Dunnikier Way in Kirkcaldy. Unfortunately, the man involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was Grzegorz Pychowski. His family shared a touching tribute, calling him a beloved Dad, Grandad, and friend. They emphasized that Grzegorz’s memory will always be cherished and that we should cherish our loved ones because they can be taken away from us too soon.
The driver of the BMW involved in the accident, a 44-year-old man, was taken into custody for a road traffic offense. However, he was later released as the investigation continues. Additionally, a dark-colored car that was in the vicinity at the time has been located by the authorities. While the police are no longer seeking information from the public, they are still working to uncover all the details surrounding the incident. Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw expressed condolences to Mr. Pychowski’s family and friends during this difficult period and assured them of ongoing support and communication throughout the investigation.
Not really sure why this matters, but it seems that the accident occurred late in the evening, which makes it even more tragic. The fact that the driver was arrested but then let go just adds more confusion to the whole situation.
