firefighters-respond-to-vehicle-blaze-at-edinburgh-airport

Firefighters rushed to a car park at Edinburgh Airport after getting reports of a car completely on fire. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) got the call around 1.40pm on Saturday, May 17. Pictures floating around online show smoke billowing into the sky in Edinburgh, visible from pretty far away. One person who saw it happen thought the fire was in a long stay car park at the main airport in the capital. A recent update from Edinburgh Airport mentioned that their own fire service put out the vehicle fire and they’re now looking into what caused it.

The vehicle fire was so big that it could be seen from a distance, which is pretty crazy if you think about it. I mean, imagine just chilling at the airport and suddenly seeing a car go up in flames in the parking lot. That’s definitely not what you expect to see on a regular day. The SFRS spokesperson mentioned that they got reports of the fire at the airport car park at 1.40pm on a Saturday. They sent one of their trucks out, and it’s still there dealing with the aftermath.

Not really sure why this matters, but it’s interesting to see how quickly firefighters respond to emergencies like this. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like we don’t always appreciate the work they do enough. Anyway, the airport spokesperson said their fire service took care of the vehicle fire, but they’re now trying to figure out what caused it. It’s good to know that they’re on top of things and making sure everyone is safe at the airport.
