Paul Sinha, one of the stars of the popular ITV quiz show The Chase, found himself in hot water during the latest episode just before the final round. Host Bradley Walsh was back at the helm, introducing four new contestants – Dave, Sophie, Adam, and Liz – to the teatime programme. The 64-year-old host kicked off the show with some general knowledge questions, pitting the contestants against Paul, also known as The Sinnerman, who was on top form that day.

Dave was the first to take on the Chaser and impressed viewers by raking in £7,000. Despite the pressure, he remained composed and managed to secure his spot in the final chase. However, things took a turn for the worse as Sophie and Adam fell short, getting caught out with just a few questions left. Adam, in particular, took a risky move by going for the £53,000 offer, only to be eliminated with one question to go. Liz stepped up next, matching Dave’s impressive win of £7,000, making it to the final round alongside him, where Paul surprisingly extended a slight olive branch to the pair.

In a rare move, Paul acknowledged the contestants’ potential and set a target of 19 correct answers for them to beat in the final chase. Liz and Dave seemed optimistic but fell short, only managing to answer 12 questions correctly with a two-point advantage. In the end, Paul caught them with just 10 seconds to spare, after three pushbacks from the team of two. Despite their best efforts, the pair couldn’t outsmart the Chaser in the final showdown. The episode ended with a bittersweet defeat for Liz and Dave, showcasing the unpredictable nature of the quiz show. So, another day, another nail-biting episode of The Chase, where anything can happen in the world of competitive quizzing.
