Anastasia Shane, 33, and her husband Stanislav, 38, are a Ukrainian couple living in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, who have been deeply impacted by the ongoing war in their country. Their peaceful life in the small village of Hostomel, northwest of Kyiv, was shattered when Russian troops invaded their area, forcing them to flee in early 2022. Their home was severely damaged by a shell, leaving them no choice but to seek refuge with relatives in Kyiv.
