Four Edinburgh hotels have recently been honored for their exceptional service and facilities in a new Michelin guide aimed at attracting tourists to the region. Among the recognized hotels is The Balmoral on Princes Street, one of only two Scottish hotels to receive two Michelin Keys. The hotel was praised for its unique blend of heritage architecture and modern luxury furnishings, as well as its impressive whisky bar, Scotch.

In total, 15 properties across the UK and Ireland were recognized by the Michelin guide for offering exceptional stays. Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire was awarded Three Michelin Keys, while The Balmoral and The Fife Arms received Two Michelin Keys. Additionally, 12 other hotels in Scotland were awarded One Michelin Key, including 100 Princes Street, Gleneagles Townhouse, and Prestonfield.

Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the Michelin Guides, expressed excitement about the new Michelin Key selection for Great Britain and Ireland, which includes a total of 123 outstanding hotels. Poullennec highlighted the diverse range of accommodations included in the selection, from boutique hotels in London to country houses in Ireland and manor houses in Scotland and Wales. Each hotel awarded One, Two, or Three Michelin Keys is praised as a unique gem crafted by talented professionals.
