The BWMF Cup is set to kick off on Thursday, August 28th, with the Finals taking place on Sunday, September 1st. With a total of 21 teams from across Europe participating in the tournament, the Scottish boys will have the chance to test their abilities against formidable opponents from countries such as Malta, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Egypt. Additionally, they will face off against water polo powerhouses like Croatia, Germany, Italy, and the host country, Spain.
The Scotland U16 team will begin their Group D campaign by taking on a BWMF Invitational Squad comprised of players from Spain. Subsequent group matches will see them competing against Spanish teams Sabadell and Barcelona, as well as Italian giants Olympique Roma. As the tournament progresses to the play-off and finals stages, the Scottish boys will have the opportunity to showcase their talent and teamwork on a global platform.
